Trivia[]
- The title "Awake, Arise, or be Forever Fallen" is a line from John Milton's poem Paradise Lost.
- This line is also the inspiration for the title of a short (unrelated) story, Forever Fallen, by Cassandra Clare.
- The use of gold sheets in an intimate Malec scene was intentional, as a reference to the Shadowhunters' use of gold for marriage.[1]
The following are elements adapted from The Mortal Instruments:
- Maia was Turned by her ex-boyfriend.[2]
- Lake Lyn is the legendary Mortal Mirror.[3]
