Elias was a warlock and a trusted adviser of the High Warlock of Brooklyn, Magnus Bane.[1]
History[]
When Valentine Morgenstern initiated a hunt for the warlock who made the potion that put Jocelyn Fray in a state of deep sleep, Elias stayed with Magnus and several other warlocks in his lair. While still in hiding, Magnus was contacted by a group of Shadowhunters and set up a meeting. Elias saw the risk and begged Magnus not to go. Magnus's mind had already been made, however. Before he left, Magnus told Elias to go to the Spiral Labyrinth to ask Tessa for more shields, and ensure that the warlocks continue to maintain their protective wards over the lair.
During Magnus's absence, however, the Circle found and infiltrated the lair and the warlocks were massacred. Apparently, Elias sold Magnus out. A rogue Shadowhunter then killed him and took his warlock mark as spoils.[2]
Physical description[]
Elias had dark skin and hair, an angular face and, according to Magnus, had crow's feet. His visible warlock marks were his horns and four small spikes on his lower lip.
